Artist's Comments
I came up with this idea when I was doodling "cochlea nightmares". I kept going back and forth and back and forth. I remembered a diagram they showed us in health class about depression. My vision was simple: The slope running down represented a lifeline with lines connecting to it that eventually run into a gutter/drain or what-have-you. And the circles represent good things that happened and the crosshair was where, if this was your lifeline, you'd want to stay. But things change so I added another slope going up. Eventually I drew an arm reaching for the sky presenting a proud peace sign.
